This is an article written by real journalists titled “Charleston church killer was spawned in a racist swamp”

There is an editorial “cartoon” above the text of the article which contains a sign that says “blacks, Mexicans, and feds get out!” and another sign that says “hands off our guns”

Because that is how real journalists script a narrative, how they control a narrative. Against the imperial overreach of the federal government? You are a racist. Support the 2nd Amendment? You are a racist

Actually, that article is about the attempts to script the narrative of the shooting as really being an attack on christians. And the fact that many will prefer to see a conspiracy since a white guy did it. An interesting article, really.

Although it may interfere with some narrative scripting.

Do you live in a 2-bed, goon? If you do, don’t be surprised if your rent increases. Two-beds means two incomes. And if two incomes will pay a higher price for your unit, then your unit will be that price. One-beds are much less susceptible to overpricing.

How to “win” at renting:

Live in a building that only contains 1 bedroom or efficiency units, and that allows a maximum of 2 adults per unit

Do not live in a complex, live in a standalone building (in my case a pair of buildings with the tenant parking lot between them)

Do not live in an apartment building surrounded by other apartment buildings, my block (and adjacent blocks) are all SFH, only a fraction of which are rentals

Do not allow lifestyle inflation creep, I was still in grad school when I started reading this blog and received the Gospel of Bill in Los Angeles / Tampa / Maryland, I actually live in an apartment now that is smaller than the one I lived in while in grad school

Comment by Media Analyst
2015-06-19 11:43:06

Continued:

Always live on the top floor, having no shared neighbor walls due to the architectural oddity of my building is an added bonus

Always live in a security building so nobody can walk in off the street and knock on your door (or burglarize your apartment without somebody noticing)

Something MacBeth and others here fail to understand regarding walkscore is that high walkscore does not equal Manhattan, or Boulder for that matter. The SFH housing stock in my neighborhood was mostly built between 120 to 80 years ago, on blocks contiguous with the City of Denver street grid, meaning they were scaled to pedestrian life before there were hipsters to invent the concept of walkscore

Many of the people in my building do not drive because they can’t afford to. If I had to compare my neighborhood to other neighborhoods Back East, the South Side of Columbus or the West Side of Cleveland are the closest that come to mind

And because I haven’t posted it in a while, Bill just south of Irvine = WIN

Opinion: The housing market, any way you look at it, can’t lose
By Jeff Reeves

Americans’ finances are in order, helping to stabilize real estate
Realtor.com

About two years ago, I declared that the U.S. housing market had “officially” recovered.

And now, with some indicators showing that real estate is the healthiest it’s been in a decade, I hope I can now officially declare my previous declaration as spot-on.

I know, I know … all of you who recently bought a home are asking me to find the nearest wooden object and knock vigorously on it. But current and prospective homeowners shouldn’t let the epic pain of the previous housing crisis color their expectations forever. With each passing month, the recovery in housing looks to be not only sustainable, but even gathering steam.

For the record, I do not view any of these encouraging metrics as grounds for irresponsible speculation or reason to attend a house-flipping seminar at the airport Marriott. I also do not think houses should ever be viewed as investments in the traditional sense — and not just for cold logic, such as the fact that real estate is illiquid, but also because of philosophical reasons such as the concept of a home being valued at more than simply what’s on your property assessment.

Ask any teacher in underperforming public schools what the number one problem is, it is always a lack of parental involvement: and often that means a single parent. Economic and societal death spiral right there

Or do all the liberal atheists think that ancient humanity codifying marriage in their religion was a lark. Modern civilization is a joke… tries to pawn off technological advancement as “enlightenment”. iPads and the internet over church and traditional values.

Mac, North, Dan,

A few comments on religion, family, etc. For centuries, religion was the sole civilizing influence on the planet. The spiritual aspects of existence have always been important and various religions attempted to codify behaviour so that their adherents would survive.

It was discovered, by observation of life, that certain things promoted survival, certain things harmed it. A good but less loaded example would be the Jewish prohibition against pork (and I might add, they weren’t the only ones). In the times when this prohibition was developed, things like lack of refrigeration and advanced food prep techniques, not to mention the physical location of the people, meant that consumption of pork could be injurious to the population, causing illness and death.

Thus, since religion and government were one and the same for various groups of people, the prohibition against pig meat came about, as religious law. This was meant to promote better survival of the population.

So it has been for many religions across the centuries, that this law or that was promulgated for better survival. It was observed that certain sexual behaviors caused disease and societal problems, hence the governing authority, usually religious, regulated accordingly, based on observation.
Some of these problems were eliminated as civilization advanced and so these religious edicts become antiquated and indeed the original purpose was forgotten.

Religions get into trouble when members of the clergy say one thing and do another, or use their power and position to twist the laws to tyrannize adherents and solidify their position with the elites.

I have recently finished reading Aztec, by Gary Jennings. Fascinating historical fiction of the time just prior to and during the conquest of the indigenous peoples of Mexico by the Spanish. I was greatly amused how the narrator (indigenous man) drew parallels between the priests of his society and those of the Catholic Spanish.

Comment by Albuquerquedan
2015-06-19 12:19:40

I read some Spanish books (translated to English) that make the same comparisons. The Mormons also argued that many of the practices of the Incas and Aztecs show that they were originally Christian prior to their religions losing their way.

The BX1E has a 14.5 meter wingspan and a maximum payload of 230 kg. It can fly at an altitude of 3,000 meters.

The charging is completed within two hours, allowing a flight time of 45 minutes to one hour, at a maximum speed of 160 km per hour.

The plane was designed by Shenyang Aerospace University and Liaoning general aviation academy in the northeastern Liaoning Province. The first two aircrafts were delivered to Liaoning Ruixiang General Aviation Co on Thursday.

The aircraft can be used in pilot training, tourism, meteorology and rescue operations. Each sells for about one million yuan ($163,000).

The articles didn’t describe how the tracking software gelled with the lunch program. I think they had to do the tracking in order to apply for federal funding for the lunches. Now that they have the funding, they may discontinue the tracking. What parents objected to — and rightfully so — is attaching a meal to a particular kid. Surely they could track anonymously?

The general assumption is that it costs less to just make lunches for all kids than it does to administrate the applications and lunch money. probably a good idea.

But the Chinese ruining the economics of California? Whoa, come on now! That’s wrong.

How dare Chinese locusts invade California! This is OUR home, not theirs.

Maybe the Charleston shooter WAS set loose by the goobermin, or the shadow goobermin.

Just remember, one way to hide things is to make them so incredible and ridiculous that no one would believe them. Ancient device of international and domestic intrigue.

Ann Coulter Suggests Denying Citizenship To Blind People & People In Wheelchairs

I do not know the context of this but I can guess. At Ellis Island people that the U.S. thought would be a burden on society were not allowed into the country. Back then, we were concerned about the country. Today the standard appears to be, is it good for the immigrant not whether it is good for the country. By that new standard we need to let billions of people into the country.

Comment by Raymond K Hessel
2015-06-19 10:39:29

The new standard is to admit anyone, regardless of the societal cost, who will be an assured entitlements-for-votes lifelong Democrat. Forward, Soviet!

Bernie joins with Jeb and Hillary for placement on my no way I would vote for him list. I mentioned about a month ago that I saw a tape which made me question whether he would do anything positive on immigration. If you change the makeup of the population you change the country, Greece has very little of the same ethnic stock of ancient Greece and it shows. Bernie has just come out for essentially open borders.

Nope. WPA doesn’t play the multiple username game. I have never used another username to create a false dialogue. I suppose someone could ask Ben to verify that no other usernames use my IP, but it’s not worth his time to spend it on something so trivial.

For reference, when Trulia says “fundamentals,” they mean, “we look at the price-to-income ratio, the price-to-rent ratio, and prices relative to their long-term trends.”

According to Tulia, peak undervalue (i.e. the trough) was 4th Q 2011.

Trulia used to have their own version of a Zestimate. Now, they will only calculate an estimate if you give them your contact information, which they will then forward to a Realtor.

U.S. government data since Obama was elected is worse than China’s data, whether it was the Labor Departmentdata just prior to the 2012 election, NASA’s climate data the last two years or now the EIA’s data. Texas knows what Texas is producing for oil, why are the EIA estimates so far off from the actual numbers for oil production both in Texas and ND?

There is no doubt that North Dakota, the USA’s second largest producer, is down since December. And I believe the data clearly shows that Texas, the USA’s largest crude oil producer by far, is down also. Then how is it possible that the EIA has US Production up so much since December?

Senators Want Answers: 121 Illegal Immigrants Avoid Deportation, Now Charged With Murder

Diana Stancy / @DianaStancy / June 15, 2015

More than 100 convicted criminals who remained in the U.S. despite receiving deportation orders between 2010 and 2014 now face murder charges, according to the agency charged with carrying out such deportations of illegal immigrants.

U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement reports that 121 convicted criminals who were never removed from the country face murder charges today.

In response, Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., of the Judiciary Committee submitted a letter on June 12 requesting a “multi-departmental response” from Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Secretary of State John Kerry and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson.

In their letter, Grassley and Sessions cite Immigration and Customs Enforcement statistics that show 1,000 of the 36,007 criminally-convicted illegal immigrants released from custody in fiscal year 2013 have been reconvicted of additional crimes.
