Blow-back or false flag?
It’s a blowback. We rip what we sow.
And Lindsey Graham says there’s a 9/11 a-comin’ and we need BOOTS ON THE GROUND!

That is sort of funny, but now you are on the watch list!

You should watch Good Kill.
I wonder what the plan is for a generation of fatherless boys who will become men knowing that their uncles and fathers were droned to death.
Will we keep killing them indefinitely?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcDB6OZgqzo
What was the plan for the 75 percent of fatherless boys in our inner city brought to us by the great society plan? We have our third generation since LBJ with no end in sight.
The plan? Increase dependency until we have a votes-for-entitlements bloc big enough to ensure a permanent Democrat supermajority. Then the DNC can ride roughshod over producers and those bitter clingers.
The middle east is our drone hunting farm. It’s all about manufacturing lively targets for good sport hunting.
“What was the plan for the 75 percent of fatherless boys in our inner city brought to us by the great society plan?”
I was talking about terrorism and our response, but ok, I’ll play.
The plan was to take all of these manual jobs that men used to do and send them overseas where we can make more money by abusing third world workers and their environment. It’s right on schedule.
Am I close?
Don’t forget locking up the fathers for drug ‘crimes’.
Less than 14 percent of incarcerated persons in US are incarcerated for drugs. Google 538 blog drug incarceration.
But hey turn loose the heroin and meth dealers.

I saw this comment:
“This is not a time for experiments. It’s time to implement the strategies that were proven to work in Syria. They should find and identify the moderate terrorists, arm them, and let them deal with the extremist terrorists. It’s also time to invoke article five of the NATO charter, the one that I like to call “The 3 musketeers article” - One for all, all for one, the one that says that if one NATO country is attacked - they all are.”
“NATO should start bombing Paris day and night. Sure, civilians will die, maybe millions of them, but in the end it will be worth it. Just ask MADeleine Allstupid, I mean Madeleine Albright. That’s the only way to defeat the terrorists.”
“Also, Hollande must go, he can’t be part of the transition process, obviously he is a part of the problem, so he can’t be a part of the solution too. Something about his personality provokes terrorist attacks - first Charlie Hebdo, and now this. I just hope that this won’t stop Charlie Hebdo from making fun of the victims like they made fun of the victims of the most recent terrorist attack prior to this one.”
(That last bit was about the cartoon they published showing body parts raining down after the airliner was blown up). (And it was ISIS, read up on the bombs they were all wearing.)
This poster made an interesting point. When these guys were blowing up car bombs on crowded streets in Damascus, the “supporting powers” didn’t say boo. But they do it in Paris, and here comes the innocence. Then what; because what was to become ISIS was engaged in “civil war”, they had to be more-supported. Is it a civil war in France? Should outside countries decide Hollande must go? Why not have a whole bunch of countries start bombing various “targets”? The Russians can hit the wine country, the Israeli’s hit the coast, the US can target strategic individuals in neighborhoods cuz they got the smartest bombs. Why let’s make France a proxy war! And will somebody please flatten the Eiffel Tower? It is a major revenue source for the regime.
We rip what we sow ??
We reap what Bush sowed…
“We reap what Bush sowed…”
No way. I’m borderline socialist, all day dem-blueneck and there is no denying the drone program went into overdrive with our current administration.
If we want to assassinate bad guys successfully, we need to go Mossad and have and actual person on the ground with pistol roll up on a motorcycle and off one person with a pistol shot to the head.
I don’t like any of this, but if it has to happen, we can be more precise than the drone program.
No way ??
Yes way….I don’t recall any of these problems under Clinton, Bush #1 or Reagan….And Bush II created problems that are not just isolated outside the United States…22 veterans commit suicide on average EVERY FRICKEN DAY !!!!
So we have to drone missile strike everything?
Obama Told Aides He’s ‘Really Good At Killing People,’ New Book ‘Double Down’ Claims
The Huffington Post | By Mollie Reilly
Posted: 11/03/2013 2:40 pm EST Updated: 11/04/2013 1:27 pm ES
A new book on the 2012 presidential campaign claims that President Barack Obama told aides that he is “really good at killing people.”
According to Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, the authors of Double Down: Game Change 2012, Obama made the comment while discussing drone strikes last year. CNN’s Peter Hamby noted the anecdote in his review of the book for the Washington Post.
While the White House has not commented on the president’s alleged remarks, senior Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer on Sunday brushed off, but did not dispute, other reports from the book, including that campaign officials weighed replacing Vice President Joe Biden with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the Democratic ticket.
“The president is always frustrated about leaks,” Pfeiffer said on ABC’s “This Week.” “I haven’t talked to him about this book. I haven’t read it. He hasn’t read it. But he hates leaks.”

Bush lit the fire, but as this article points out, the Obama administration laid the groundwork to create a Sunni state, which backfired when it morphed into ISIS and heads started coming off.

the Obama administration laid the groundwork to create a Sunni state ??
He ran on a record that he would exit Iraq & Afghanistan…Thats what the people of this country wanted….If it left a vacuum after that, then don’t blame Obama for doing what he said he would do…
100% of the blame lands in the lap of that toad in Crawford Texas..He let the Gini out of the bottle and left it for others to figure out how to get the Gini back in which is proving nearly impossible to do…
the Obama administration laid the groundwork to create a Sunni state ??
Read the Guardian article, it’s a good summary, including the Pentagon report that envisioned the creation of a Sunni state in eastern Syria/western Iraq. It backfired because instead of a nice well-behaved Sunni state we got ISIS instead.
When you scratch beneath the surface from multiple sources it’s clear Obama has been playing a complex game in the Middle East with a divide-and-conquer strategy, pitting various factions against each other.
If I remember right, Ben posted something here that the Obama administration had a hand in creating what would become ISIS and I scoffed at it. As I learn more I agree with him now.
the Obama administration had a hand in creating what would become ISIS ??
If Obama’s attempt to clean up the mess left by Bush made things worse I still don’t blame Obama….If Bush does not invade, this all does not happen…
Among the assurances made by the Bush administration to the public are the following:
Ten Assurances by the Bush Administration
1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money
The Iraq War will transform the Middle East
2) We are prepared for every contingency
3) We won’t need a lot of troops
4) We will bring peace and freedom to Iraq
5) We will find WMDs
6) We will be welcomed as liberators
7) We have the best plan available for victory
9) It will be easy
10) It won’t take long
It was a DIA paper revealed by a FOIA deal:
‘The DIA report, formerly classified “SECRET//NOFORN” and dated August 12, 2012, was circulated widely among various government agencies, including CENTCOM, the CIA, FBI, DHS, NGA, State Dept., and many others.’
‘The document shows that as early as 2012, U.S. intelligence predicted the rise of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS), but instead of clearly delineating the group as an enemy, the report envisions the terror group as a U.S. strategic asset.’
‘While a number of analysts and journalists have documented long ago the role of western intelligence agencies in the formation and training of the armed opposition in Syria, this is the highest level internal U.S. intelligence confirmation of the theory that western governments fundamentally see ISIS as their own tool for regime change in Syria. The document matter-of-factly states just that scenario.’
‘Forensic evidence, video evidence, as well as recent admissions of high-level officials involved (see former Ambassador to Syria Robert Ford’s admissions here and here), have since proven the State Department and CIA’s material support of ISIS terrorists on the Syrian battlefield going back to at least 2012 and 2013 (for a clear example of “forensic evidence”: see UK-based Conflict Armament Research’s report which traced the origins of Croatian anti-tank rockets recovered from ISIS fighters back to a Saudi/CIA joint program via identifiable serial numbers).’
‘The newly released DIA report makes the following summary points concerning “ISI” (in 2012 “Islamic State in Iraq,”) and the soon to emerge ISIS.’
‘THE GENERAL SITUATION:
A. INTERNALLY, EVENTS ARE TAKING A CLEAR SECTARIAN DIRECTION.
B. THE SALAFIST [sic], THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, AND AQI ARE THE MAJOR FORCES DRIVING THE INSURGENCY IN SYRIA.
C. THE WEST, GULF COUNTRIES, AND TURKEY SUPPORT THE OPPOSITION; WHILE RUSSIA, CHINA AND IRAN SUPPORT THE REGIME.
…
3. (C) Al QAEDA – IRAQ (AQI):… B. AQI SUPPORTED THE SYRIAN OPPOSITION FROM THE BEGINNING, BOTH IDEOLOGICALLY AND THROUGH THE MEDIA…
‘8.C. IF THE SITUATION UNRAVELS THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING A DECLARED OR UNDECLARED SALAFIST PRINCIPALITY IN EASTERN SYRIA (HASAKA AND DER ZOR), AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE SUPPORTING POWERS TO THE OPPOSITION WANT, IN ORDER TO ISOLATE THE SYRIAN REGIME, WHICH IS CONSIDERED THE STRATEGIC DEPTH OF THE SHIA EXPANSION (IRAQ AND IRAN)

Jeb! wants to declare war now. On somebody.
Jeb reminds me of Ricks Steve’s weaker brother.
Huge information war over the Syrian refugee passport that was so conveniently found intact near one of the attackers. While I think Paul Craig Roberts is over the top with his false flag theories, part of what he says rings true:
If the passport is genuine and the terrorist was embedded with the refugees, then Le Pen and the other anti-EU conservatives gain political advantage to argue for closed borders and stop taking in refugees. If the conservatives gain power in France, Germany and elsewhere, then the whole EU is threatened with breakup.
If the passport is fake, then the terrorist-refugee link is not made, the conservatives lose a talking point, and the EU status quo continues on.
Is the passport real but the authorities are now saying it’s fake to preserve the status quo? We’ll never know….
All this talk of closed borders is very unprogressive.
Creating borders creates the state.
No borders, no state.
Open your border and your wallet.
Bush kicked the bee hive. Now we have a bee problem. 14 yrs…. trillion$…..
Jeb!
Yeah, well if Bush (either) kicked the beehive, then Obama got all if his friends together and knocked the beehive off the tree with a broomstick.
how? Did O fire the Iraqi army and give them nothing to do?
http://time.com/3900753/isis-iraq-syria-army-united-states-military/
The decision to dissolve the Iraqi army robbed Baghdad’s post-invasion military of some of its best commanders and troops. Combined with sectarian strains that persist 12 years later, it also drove many of the suddenly out-of-work Sunni warriors into alliances with a Sunni insurgency that would eventually mutate into ISIS. Many former Iraqi military officers and troops, trained under Saddam, have spent the last 12 years in Anbar Province battling both U.S. troops and Baghdad’s Shi’ite-dominated security forces, Pentagon officials say.
The Onion nails it:
“‘Seek Funding’ Step Added To Scientific Method”
“PARIS—In an effort to modernize the principles and empirical procedures of examining phenomena and advancing humanity’s collective knowledge, the International Council for Science announced Thursday the addition of a “Seek Funding” step to the scientific method. “After making an observation and forming a hypothesis as usual, the new third step of the scientific method will now require researchers to embark upon an exhaustive search for corporate or government financing,” said the group’s president, Gordon McBean, adding that the new stage of the process, which will be implemented across every scientific discipline, also entails compiling and forwarding grant proposals to hundreds of highly competitive funding sources. “Next, scientists simply modify their study’s goals to align with the vision of potential funders and wait for several months to hear back. At this point—should this step be successful, of course—they can move on to the experimental stage, and then to analysis.” McBean confirmed that the council was also developing a new initial step for the scientific process, “Assess Profitability of Research,” which would help determine if systematic investigation is even worth pursuing in the first place.”

Truth can appear preposterous. Although this piece was written in satire, it has more than a kernel of truth in it. All current research, especially in the US, Europe and Japan is based on grants from the government. There are jobs and careers made as a top proposal writer for a university department. No wonder that scientific community cannot tolerate dissenting views. If you are interested, just take a look at how papers are accepted in Astrophysics.
The thing that gets to me, is that the so called specialists in one field disregard other fields, always offering far out theory that does not reflect observations and experiments.
“Although this piece was written in satire, it has more than a kernel of truth in it.”
This is why it works. Same rule goes for good jokes: Good jokes work because they have a kernel of truth embedded within them.
All current research, especially in the US, Europe and Japan is based on grants from the government.
That’s not true. Corporations fund a lot of research. There are also lots of charities raising money with their walkathons and whatnot.
Universities have their own money too, tons of it in some cases (like Harvard).
Corporations fund a lot of research? Really? No doubt that they used to . . . these days, they seem to just buy startups that are doing their R&D for them.
How coastal real estate is being impacted by climate change
“Florida — where 75 per cent of the population lives on the coast — is any indication, the threat has largely been ignored by financial markets. Routinely flooded roads and basements and warnings from scientists have yet to suck air from Miami’s $35 billion real estate bubble.
Englander expects that within a decade, perhaps as early as five years from now, awareness of sea level impacts on coastal real estate will spook the marketplace. Insurance premiums will spike, making mortgages unattainable for some. Property values will plunge, along with local tax revenues, making it harder for communities to adapt to new realities.
Those that have are quietly selling, Englander added. “They don’t want to make noise because they want to protect their property values. They want to sell high before the market notices.”
Young said American tax and insurance payers are supporting real estate values for relatively few beachfront properties. At the local level, communities like North Topsail shovel municipal dollars from general revenue into never-ending beach restoration projects.
“Mark my words,” said Young. “North Topsail officials are going to drive that community into default. They’re borrowing money to pay for beach projects, yet they won’t raise taxes on themselves because, Good Lord, this is America and nobody wants to pay taxes anymore.”
“This is called depreciation – and she is a heartless b@tch.”
Indeed — and as I’ve posted here before, it won’t be long until we see billions of dollars in losses in real estate in vulnerable areas, all due to global warming. That’s why climate change is not off topic on this blog. The real estate implications are enormous.
OTOH………it could be the “buy” opportunity of all time.
Finding areas that currently have crappy weather, that will have San Diego-like weather when it kicks in.
Im thinking Duluth, and the U. P.
You’re right. Florida is toast. Once the flooding hits and the groundwater goes bad due to salt intrusion, the exodus will begin. If you can figure out where Floridians will relocate to that would be good R.E. to invest in.
Houses aren’t “investments”. They’re depreciating assets.
more doom and gloom today?
Pick yourself up off the floor and cheer up Poet and remember….

more doom and gloom today ??
Its really dark down there in the basement…
“Conclusion: The carry trade causes a rising U.S. dollar, rising U.S. bond prices, rising U.S. stocks, and deflation in commodity prices. Of course, an unwinding of the carry trade will cause the opposite.
The soaring dollar and strong U.S. Treasury market confirm that the carry trade is alive and well. If and when the Bank of Japan hikes interest rates in order to combat rising inflation, the carry trade will unwind, perhaps ferociously. So, watch the BOJ.
The massive money creation of the major central banks and their “ZIRP” policy (zero interest rate policy) has created such huge financial speculation using other methods as well, making big speculators very rich. And that includes the large trading operations at the Wall Street firm, the biggest global banks, and hedge funds.”

President Obama gave 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed, who was detained by police after a teacher mistook his homemade clock for a bomb, a nod on Twitter Wednesday, inviting the young inventor to the White House:
“He just wants to invent good things for mankind,” Mohamed’s father told The Dallas Morning News. Time will only tell what invention Mohamed will make next — and whether he’ll take Obama up on that invite. Becca Stanek

What are you talking about? Who’s attacking Radio Shacks?
I didn’t even know they still existed, but I goo-gled them and there are two in my town! Who knew? I wonder what they sell.
I scrolled down further and discovered three Radio Shacks in town had recently closed. So we used to have five of them, and I wasn’t even aware of them still existing, nor what they are selling. They must have been in some out-of-the-way sleepy little strip malls or something.
I guess that’s why they’re down to two.
“Who’s attacking Radio Shacks?”
“have you been sleeping for two months?”
Ahmed, you didn’t build that. Radio Shack sold it. #StandWithAhmed

The left had a triple whammy of self-congratulation this week when Texas teenager Ahmed was arrested(!) for bringing a bomb to school. The problem is, allegedly, he had brought to school a digital clock he built, to show to class. So this was allegedly a case of Texas being racist and anti-Science™!
Except most of the facts were wrong. He didn’t build the clock, and the school had reason to believe it looked like a bomb.
Anthony at Art Voice has taken down the situation thoroughly (link via Sean Davis). Anthony did his homework, studied the photos, and found that the clock Ahmed allegedly built, was originally sold at Radio Shack. Pictured is the clock Ahmed put into a case to bring to school: a Micronta 63 756, sold by Radio Shack:
The shape and design is a dead give away. The large screen. The buttons on the front laid out horizontally would have been on a separate board – a large snooze button, four control buttons, and two switches to turn the alarm on and off, and choose two brightness levels. A second board inside would have contained the actual “brains” of the unit. The clock features a 9v battery back-up, and a switch on the rear allows the owner to choose between 12 and 24 hour time. (Features like a battery back-up, and a 24 hour time selection seems awful superfluous for a hobby project, don’t you think?) Oh, and about that “M” logo on the circuit board mentioned above? Micronta.
That’s right, Ahmed didn’t even bother to remove the silkscreened logo and part number Micronta printed onto the circuit board. Anthony also points out the other killer element: Why would you put a clock in a pencil case? It has a lid, that closes, meaning you’ll never actually be able to read the display. Anthony’s conclusion logically follows:
Because, is it possible, that maybe, just maybe, this was actually a hoax bomb? A silly prank that was taken the wrong way? That the media then ran with, and everyone else got carried away? Maybe there wasn’t even any racial or religious bias on the parts of the teachers and police.
The left-wing smart set just got fooled, badly.

Yawn. The Ahmed clock story is so 63 news cycles ago.
63 news cycles later and Obama is still on top of his game.
Obama Claims ISIS “Contained” Day Before Paris Attacks
“I don’t think they’re gaining strength,” Obama told ABC
Kit Daniels | Infowars.com - November 13, 2015
President Barack Obama claimed ISIS was losing strength and was “contained” a day before the Paris attacks.
“I don’t think they’re gaining strength,” he told ABC’s George Stephanopolous on Thursday, which aired Friday on Good Morning America. “What is true is that from the start, our goal has been first to contain and we have contained them.”
The president also said that despite not eradicating ISIS’s top commanders, the U.S. was making “some progress.”
“…We’ve made some progress in trying to reduce the flow of foreign fighters, and part of our goal has to be to recruit more effective Sunni partners in Iraq to really go on offense rather than simply engage in defense.”
But a terror suspect arrested in Paris during the attacks claimed he was from the Islamic State and ISIS later praised the attacks on Twitter.
“O crusaders we are coming to you with bombs and rifles, wait for us,” an allegedly “contained” ISIS militant tweeted.
Obama is correct to some extent. ISIS has lost ground in Syria and Iraq. But that doesn’t mean they can’t coordinate a remote cell, as we just saw.
The Obama Trauma is thick today.
Maybe instead of sending billions in arms to Iraq that end up getting seized by ISIL, we could help out a few of our own here at home.

“I really want to be a teacher and I have to get out of this town to do that,” she said. “There’s no options here. I don’t want to stay here. I don’t want my children to stay here ??
I looked at the pictures…Depressing…To bad we can’t come up with a clean use for all the natural resource we have in Coal…
And, as far as you wanting to be a teacher April, maybe you should have thought about that a bit more before you had two children in two years…You are not part of the solution…You are part of the problem…In one of the poorest towns in the country and you bring two new mouths to feed into it…Ignorant…
We are just continuing the long US military tradition of “arming both sides”.

Republican Candidates Urge Aggressive Response After Paris Attacks
Visions of two Americas emerged from the 2016 presidential field on Saturday, at the Democratic debate and at Republican campaign events, as the candidates sought to project leadership after the Paris attacks and maneuver for political advantage in a rare moment when national security held voters’ attention.
A dark portrait of a vulnerable homeland — impotent against Islamic State militants, susceptible against undocumented refugees and isolated in a world of fraying alliances — came into sharp relief as several Republicans seized on the crisis to try to elevate terrorism into a defining issue in the 2016 election.
Leading Republicans like Donald J. Trump, Ben Carson and Senator Ted Cruz of Texas called on the Obama administration to halt plans to accept 10,000 Syrian refugees next year. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, warning that the Islamic State would leverage the Paris attacks to add recruits and raise money, said the United States needed to move immediately to assemble a stronger coalition to fight the militants. And former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida urged Americans to recognize that “an organized effort to destroy Western civilization” is underway.
The Republicans also broadly agreed that the Paris attacks should be the catalyst for a new military strategy against the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, which has claimed responsibility for the carnage on Friday. “This will be coming to America,” Mr. Cruz warned grimly. “ISIS plans to bring these acts of terror to America.”
